2024 Governor's Pheasant Hunting Opener

The Sleepy Eye Area Chamber of Commerce & CVB is honored to have been selected as the official host community of the 12^th Annual Minnesota Governor’s Pheasant Hunting Opener.

The event will kick-off on Friday, October 11 with media activities, registration, MN DNR education event at the schools and a downtown community food truck & live music event. The event weekend will continue with a hunter’s breakfast, media interviews, and the hunt on Saturday, October 12. We hope to build upon what previous communities have done in promoting pheasant hunting and sportsmanship in our great state while showcasing all that the Sleepy Eye area has to offer.
